Pavilion dv6-2020sa Hard Drive failure

I have the above which is just out of warranty and the hard drive has failed and now the system will no longer boot in any mode. I have purchased a replacement hard drive but unfortunately didn't get round to creating the recovery disks before it was to late.

Sooo my question is: Is there a way to copy the recovery partition on to USB using a boot disk or something similar? Or is there anywhere on HP where I can download a Windows 7 recovery disk?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Re: Pavilion dv6-2020sa Hard Drive failure

Hi, David:

I would order a recovery disk set from HP if they are available. I think they cost around $16 USD.

Link for the procedure to do this is below:
