Chromebook and wifi mobile connection

Please can somebody advise? I recently purchased a HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook c-oo1ea. Ok, I now realise that it can not support a USB dongle to get me online. So, I would like to know if it would work with one of the newer mi-fi gadgets which creates a stand alone wi-fi hotspot? Thanks, John.

Re: Chromebook and wifi mobile connection

Hi John,

Simply put, you should be fine. This chromebook should have a wireless access card which will essentially give you access you any hotspot. It doesn't really matter where that hotspot is coming from be it mi-fi, a at home wireless network or a community network. You should be fine regardless so long as you have permissions on the network you're trying to connect to.
