omnibook 4150

I ran my recovery disk to clear up some files, however I need the product key to complete the job. This was not mention before I started. How do I get this or around this question??? I run windows 98. There is no numbers on the desk or back of the laptop. Dale

The recovery disks restores the system to a factory installation.
It doesn not just "clean up" some files, most likely all data is wiped from the disk.
(partition is deleted and new partition created).
AFAIK a warning IS given when starting the recovery.

If you could find the recovery disks you possibly also can find the windows-98 booklet that came with the system.
It should contain a page with the required key.
As it's a HP-oem installation you'll also need a HP-OEM-key
