Show remaining battery time in Windows XP

Hi to all!

I have a Compaq Evo N800v notebook that I had to re-install yesterday. Now, if I look at the remaining battery symbol at the lower right in the taskbar, I only see in percent how strong the battery still is, but I don't see the remaining battery time, which was shown before re-installation. How can I handle it, that Win XP shows that time?

Thanx for every answer!

Re: Show remaining battery time in Windows XP

Hello,

Go to start / system tools, and look at the options in power administration section (name may be slihtly different, as I'm translating from my french box). If you don't find back what display you had before, then your 800V had extra system management soft installed.
If you have XP home, go to :

If you run XP Pro, go to :

Download Operating System - Enhancements, Management and System Software and System Software Manager tools. The settings you need is inside.
