Kingmax ZA-DVD MPEG-2 Decoder

Does anyone know anything about the Kingmax ZA-DVD decoder card? I have a brand new unit and it has not let me select my desired region. It is set at region 1 and I need region 4.

Re: Kingmax ZA-DVD MPEG-2 Decoder

Mark,

Download DVD Genie.

It should be able to fix the software region setting. From memory, I think I used it to change software setting to region 4 while using a Margi DVD-to-Go card.

Re: Kingmax ZA-DVD MPEG-2 Decoder

Thanks Paul, but I have already tried that and it didn't work. I think the card itself has been coded. HP is sending out DVD Express to me, but no one can tell me if that program uses the card or not. I have tested the drive and that has no been locked. I can use WinDVD but it does not use the decoder card, hence the image is a bit jerky.

Re: Kingmax ZA-DVD MPEG-2 Decoder

Thanks George, but the problem has been resolved. I bought the Kingmax card with a HP DVD drive, so HP were kind enough to replace the card. Every thing now works perfectly fine. I would recomend the Kingmax card to any one with a DVD and a slower processor. I infact now have a another card if anyone is looking for one. This one has never been used so its region has not been locked.
