HP Omnibook 6000 Video with External Monitor

When connecting an Hp Omnibook 6000 to an external Screen via a Docking Station
the Resolution on the External Screen doesn't appears correctly and the driver for th Video card is changed (I use a L1720 Hp Flat Screen). For using the
Laptop without external Screen I need to remove The Video Card from System Devices
and reinstalling the Driver from the Recovery Disk

Note : I am working under Windows 2000 Operating System

Has a video driver and a video display settings driver. Do you have both of them?

Also look in Control Panel/System/Hardware Profiles

You should be able to have a different profile for docked vs undocked.
