Sound problem

Hi every one

I have HP ProBook 4540s for 2 weeks with win 7 64-bit

at the firs I have sound from my speakers

but recently I have no sound from my speakers

reinstall the win but doesn't work

reinstall the driver but doesn't work

update BIOS but doesn't work

only I have sound from my headphone

for 4 days I have no sound but today for 1 minute sound come out from speaker and I was happy but when I close the media player after that I have no sound again

all set ups are right but in control panel-sound-playback sound-speaker in the jack information 

is this message: not jack information available

Please help me

This could certainly be a hardware problem. For something like this, however, i would start by trying a linux boot from a usb key to see if sound works consistently. Any current distribution should work. I would also try running HP's Softpaq Download Manager ( and see if there are missing or newer driver to install - ONLY install drivers. One last thing, some MS patches have in the past interfered with sound and that is a possiblity so uninstalling recent patches for testing might help as well
