recently I purchased 4 Probook 5310m
laptops and three of them have shown
intermittent complete LAN interface failure.
When failing, the NIC completely disappears from
the Windows 7 device manager, it just looks
as if the laptop has no NIC at all apart from WLAN...
The LAN status lights on the right and left hand side of the LAN port are also dark in the case of failure.
Sometimes the LAN is on/off in a interval of
about 5 seconds LAN - lights come on, Win7 detects
the LAN card, lights go off shortly afterwards
Already installed the latest BIOS but this did not cure the problem.
What else (apart from sending the laptops back) could I do?
