Hp 2510p windows 7 problems with docking station

[ Edited ]

the problem is as follows: win 7 works like a charm with everything, on and off the docking station except for one thing.

The problem occurs when I take the computer off the docking station: after about 5-10 seconds, one of the two CPU cores is occupied 100% and remains so.

This happens under all scenarios:
- hot undock
- cold undock (hibernate or sleep computer, then take it off the docking station)

The CPU core stays fully busy for an indefinite amount of time. The only solution is to re-start the machine (and this takes ages, of course, as the one CPU core is busy).

Thx for you help.
