I need to unistall this product due to problems with other software on my Compaq 8510w
I get a BlueScreen when logging on when a don't have access to the Domain Controller (or it hangs waiting for the network connection)
I have tried normal unistall fra the Control Panel.
I am running Windows XP SP2 pro.

did you use the HP Protect Tools?
Did you try to Restore Security Defaults in BIOS?
After the Restore Security Defaults try to boot in Secure Mode - F8 - and try to uninstall the HP Protect Tools.
If you have all parts of Protect Tools, uninstall them first. The Security Manager should be the last uninstalled.
