HSTNN-S01X - Video doesn't work

Using HSTNN-S01X HP USB Docking Station
on an HP Pavilion dv2000 laptop computer with an HP LE2201w monitor, the video doesn't work. I tested the monitor hooked directly to the laptop and it worked fine, however when I attach the monitor to the VGA port on the USB Docking station the screen goes black on the external monitor. The Intel graphics management console is not sensing a 2nd monitor. How do I get this to work?

Thanks.

Re: HSTNN-S01X - Video doesn't work

See if this helps?
The Docking Station has its own built in Flash Drive that acts like a bios when you plug it in. On there is a folder which has a neat little docking station utility that installs the Video drivers. Run it reboot then in the lower right you can adjust the settings it works for both DVI and VGI and it amazingly woks with great speed no jitters.

Hope this makes sense since I copied it from another thread where it solved the problem... I think? :-)

Re: HSTNN-S01X - Video doesn't work

The only exe file I could find is 'SetupAsix.exe'

Is that the one you're referring to? I click on that and nothing happens.

What should I try now? Is that file corrupt? Missing?

Re: HSTNN-S01X - Video doesn't work

Same issue here. Software installs fine from the flash on the docking station but it doesn't detect any monitors when they are plugged in. Can't find any info on reinstalling or updating the firmware, can barely find any info for this hardware at all...

Will the other units in my environment also become lemons soon?

Re: HSTNN-S01X - Video doesn't work

I am getting the same problem. When I connect my flat screen monitor to laptop directly, it works fine but when I connect through HPdocking station it does not even detect it.

What I noticed is that the flash drive of docking station has software for XP and Vista but it does not have software for Windows7. Yes, I have installed windows7 on my laptop.
Could that be a problem>

Re: HSTNN-S01X - Video doesn't work

I have same problem with HSTNN-IX02 docking station.
I have Compaq 8710W and just installed windows 7 64bit professional.
With Vista docking station everything worked just fine.
Now I can't get video out of my Benq v2400W. Cable is DVI-HDMI. DVI at docking station and HDMI at screen.
