HP software kept trying to update my Win 7 Pro Book 4540s, and I kept delaying until I could look them over. When I came back from a meeting, the updates had run anyway and the computer was stalling while in reboot. I manually shut down the laptop and when it rebooted, it still had my user account, but does not offer finger swipe as a log-in method, won't accept my password, and checking the Biometric box option in the BIOS Boot Menu does not work either. I can't run in "Safe Mode" as the f8 selection is not present and does not respond. Please help as this computer was running flawlessly before the invasive HP update destroyed it.
