HP Compaq 6910 Power Issue

I recently (Mid-December) upgraded my HP Notebook from Windows Vista to 7. For a week the upgade wored perfectly, but when it came time to move my computer with me, i found that my computer has a very intermittenet power issue: When i unplug the computer, it acts normally, when its plugged in and charging, most of the time it acts very slow. I've done system diagnostics which have told me that nothing is wrong, and have also done system restores, but the problem hasn't disappeared. I believe that there is probably a problem with my power driver, but can't find anywhere on the HP website to download it. Any Help?

Thanks,

Andrew

Re: HP Compaq 6910 Power Issue

Hello,
To the point: I have seen something similiar to this only once, the best thing if possible is to try another AC adapter if one is available. It could be something gone faulty within the AC adapter, odd, but I have seen it once myself.

-As for the diagnostics, can you explain exactly where & what those were?
-I assume for the system restores, you mean windows restores right? Not using the recovery discs to fully reinstall the OS?
-You could possibly look at your Windows restore and try to remember what you MAY have installed or changed the day it started happening?
-As for the power driver, there is usually a default power settings download, but I couldn't find it for Vista, XP, or Win7 for this model. I assume the lack of Win7 is obvious, it has a AWESOME built-in model. As for the power options, have you checked those? I would go there (in control panel), go to the advanced options and reset to defaults
-I would possibly install the below:

Then review the following & possibly update at your discretion:
