We have issues with one HP 6540b after installing HP System Updates using HP Windows Application.
OS: Windows 7 64bit Pro
After installing software updates and latest BIOS firmware, Windows crash immediately upon loading ATI graphics driver with BSOD (atikmpag.sys) error 116.
I tried installing fresh Windows on another HDD but same problem.
Without ATI driver, system boots fine but screen resolution is very limited and user can't expand screen to external monitor.
Is there any way to do BIOS rollback to previous version or to disable ATI graphic and use Intel which is integrated in CPU.

Hello there Needle!: There are 2 options you can try;
1. you can go into safe mode by hitting the F8 key until the system takes you there rather than the Windows desktop
then go to ControlPanel\Recovery then choose "safe mode" which is located on the right side of the page
then go back to a date earlier than the date you installed the bad driver
2. get out of safe mode then restart your PC then press the F8 key but instead of "safe mode" choose "last good configuration" then restart
3. Restart the computer a 3rd time then locate the F key that gets you to your BIOS then locate a choice marked
"revert to factory settings" then restart
One final thing; if you have a conventional graphics card why would you want to go back to integrated Intel?
if you try either one of those choices then that Intel chip would be raising a bunch of dust bunnies
hope this helps you return to cyberspace!

to use the integrated graphics chip you normally have to disassemble the additional graphics card.
Have you tried to install the latest ATI driver?
