Compaq Nx6110 video controller drivers

No drivers installed for Video controller and video controller (VGA compatible). No discs received. Cannot locate drivers on the net. Please help

Hi, Rajeev:

 

The video adapter on the nx6110 is not a Windows Vista or Windows 7 capable video adapter.

 

However, there are drivers for it that will be an improvement over what you have now.

 

Use these Windows Vista Business drivers from a nc6220.

Now your graphics should have good resolution and everything should work except Windows Aero.

 

That is the best you are going to to be able to do with that notebook PC.

Hi:

 

Use the driver I posted above. It will run and then give an error report of Operating system not supported.  Close the error box.

 

Then click on your video controller in the device manager. Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver. Select the "Browse my computer for software option and browse to C:\SWSetup\sp34749. Make sure the "include subfolders" box is checked in the updade driver browser.

 

The driver should install just fine.  You will not have Aero, but you will have everything else.
