6910p Windows 7 Drivers

I searched the driver information for the HP 6910p to see if there are drivers available but did not find anything. Does anyone know if they are going to be releasing drivers for the 6910p for Windows 7 64-bit? I have about 5 of these laptops I am going to need to upgrade.

Re: 6910p Windows 7 Drivers

I have a 6910p with Windows 7 Ultimate x64 installed.

I installed the following 6930p drivers/software, from the 6930p Windows 7 x64 drivers/software page.

* Essential System Updates (sp44215.exe)
* HP ProtectTools Security Manager Suite (sp44778.exe)
* HP Quick Launch Buttons (sp44135.exe)
* HP Wireless Assistant (sp44700.exe)
* System Default Settings (sp45219.exe)

Windows 7 detected and installed the rest of the drivers. The ProtectTools Security Manager Suite contains the fingerprint reader drivers and software.

Hope this helps.

I also asked HP support. They answered: everybody be patient, they're working on it :)

Re: 6910p Windows 7 Drivers

well, I've just installed the suggested 6930p drivers by josjus, and they're looks to be good except ProtectTools.
HP Wireless assistant driver works well.
Quicklaunch buttons driver works well.
Essential System Updates and System Default Settings installed fine.
After HP ProtectTools Security Manager Suite installation the application freezed for minutes and I had to restore the system to a previous state.
I downloaded Authentec fingerprint drivers from: http://win7beta.authentec.com/ and I can use the fingerprint device to log in to Windows7.
Works quite good, but sometimes the device is can't wake up from sleep.

Re: 6910p Windows 7 Drivers

I had to uninstall HP ProtectTools Security Manager Suite (4.1) because the AGSHost.exe service (for Cognizance Identity and Access Management) was using way too much CPU and RAM.

I've reverted back to the Authentec TrueSuite beta product from Authentec.
