6550b - SSD installation


is there enough room in the 6550b Probook to install a new 2.5" SSD drive without the need to remove the original HDD?

It depends on how you plan to use it. the 6550b has 2 spindles only, the internal 2.5" drive and the optical drive bay. you can replace the internal drive with an SSD and you can also replace the optical drive with a hard drive bay and put your SSD in it. you should be able to then tell the BIOS which to boot from first
