pci bus 2, device 6, function 4. not sure what device this is. everything seems to work fine.
I have tried the Intel chipset drivers. I have tried the ricoh smart card reader drivers. I had previously installed win7 pro and did not see this problem. we decided enterprise was a better choice for our environment and going back to pro is not an option.
any help would be appreciated.

I would have bet on the card reader driver being the missing link too. However, I believe you are missing your HP 3D driveguard driver:
You probably need this driver too if you didn't load it.

I had loaded the Drive guard Drivers Previously. I just loaded the new amt driver that you recommended.
Neither of those file did the trick. so it is not the:
Ricoh card drivers
Intel chip set drivers
HP 3d drive guard
or the AMT drivers.
here is the parent string from the device manager to see if this helps.

Decoding the device details code it is a Hub Interface to PCI Bridge device.
Sounds like some kind of chipset thing to me. I just don't see any other applicable drivers for it.
You downloaded the modem drivers, I presume?

I did a search for that device on Intel's website and it pointed me to the chipset driver. That is all I can tell you.
You can give the chipset driver direct from intel a try for W7 x64 below:

Ready to shoot either someone at HP or Microsoft. just need someone to point me in the right direction. J/K
so neither of those worked.
I was looking at the same machine with windows XP installed and it is say that the ricoh sd/mmc card reader is on that address.
I am a complete knob. thank you for your help Paul.
Ricoh Media drivers this is a link to the drivers for the issue. it was the media card reader. you were darn close on multiple shots. and i am an idiot for wasting your time.

I'm glad it worked out, but I thought you had already installed the Ricoh media card driver in the beginning. That is why I said I would have thought it was the media card reader.
Don't be so hard on yourself. Finding notebook drivers is a real PITA.

there were 2 different Ricoh drivers to install. I did the smart card reader drivers and assumed that the media card reader drivers were in there.
