Tru64 NFS client ptoblem

We have ES80 Alpha server which is a member of TurCluster V5.1B-4, PK6. The host mounts a NFS file system from a Linux server. Yesterday the Linux server was down for maintenance. We forgot to dismount the nfs file mount points from Tru64 client.

Now we cannot mount the NFS file system though I am able to mount directory exported by this Linux server to another Tru64 host. Please see the following –

/var/adm/messages – has following –

Mar 28 17:00:02 dbserver vmunix: NFS3 RFS3_GETATTR failed for server xxxdb: RPC: Authentication error

Mar 29 08:30:28 dbserver vmunix: NFS3 RFS3_GETATTR failed for server xxxdb: RPC: Authentication error

When I issue mount command -

# mount -t nfs /dbase/xxxDB/bkp@xxxdb /xxxdb

Can't access /dbase/XXXDB/bkp@xxxdb: Permission denied

Tcpdump on linux server –

[root@xxxdb ~]# tcpdump -npi eth0 host 10.10.1.151

tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode

listening on eth0, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 96 bytes

On working system after this Tru64 client should send fsinfo on port 2049 which is not happening. I have tried stopping/starting nfsiod and nfsd but with no success.

Can you please provide help as what to do to mount nfs file system without rebooting the client.
Thanks,

Re: Tru64 NFS client ptoblem

It looks like a problem resolving the host name from it's IP address. Check your hosts/DNS configuration and RRs.
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?
