PCM+ v4 --- Does it work for Cisco Devices at all ?

Question

I am new to HP PCM+ and trying to work with Cisco switches like 3750s.

I able to detect it fine but couldn't able to retrieve its configuration.

Keep getting this error "Device is not currently supported".

I have verified the cisco3750.oid files too ... but no luck.

Answer

PCM platform is mainly focused to manage HP switches. For third party products there is very limited support. Here you can see device/features which are supported in PCM:

For multiplatform management, HP IMC is the way.

PCM+ added the Cisco 3750 and 6500 series to mapping functionality only. This allowed customers with a blend of Cisco core 3750/6500 with HP networking Edge to see a complete map of the devices. You could would still need to build mib trees and SNMP for traps or config files.
