Pairwise Configuration for Same OID & Trap forwarding on basis of severity

Question

For doing multiple pairwise configurations with same trap currently the the workaround is really crappy where we need to generate 2 new alarms using scripts.

I had raised this ER maybe back in 2009-2010 with NNM8i  but seems HP is not doing anything on this issue for long time and nothing seems to happen.

Any idea when is HP planning to implement this ?

Similarly, trap forwarding on basis of severity is also missing in NNMi which again makes me feel really disappointed.

It is more than 2.5 years with NNMi being released and i feel the product should have matured enough to incorporate such basic features.

Any idea when are these 2 features getting released ?

When is NNM9.2 and NNM10 planned ? Are any of these limitations getting addressed there ?

Answer

The good news is that the first issue with PairWise being able to be configured with the same trap OID is being addressed.   At this time it is in the 9.20 early release code, but I can't guarantee it will be there on release as features can be pulled at any time for various reasons.

As for forwarding on severity I don't have any information on this topic.  You might like to approach your Sales Rep or a Product Marketing contact on this particular issue.

For Trap Forwarding , it's working with HP operation Manager , which u can forward whatever is configured to be forwarded ,

we have implemented to forward only critical and Root Cause events to OML console ,

For the pairwise config as mentioned it's there in NNM i 9.2x
