Using the NNM Web Interface through a Firewall

Does anyone know what ports need to be allowed through a firewall in order to access the Openview web interface?
Thank you

Re: Using the NNM Web Interface through a Firewall

Rick:

If you installed with the defaults then the port your are looking for is 8880 tcp. If you did change it, you might want to check in your /etc/services file for ovhttp

# grep ovhttpd /etc/services

ovhttp 8880/tcp # OpenView Web Server (placeholder)

Good luck
nothing wrong with me that a few lines of code cannot fix!

Re: Using the NNM Web Interface through a Firewall

There was a patch released for this problem, but the patch has been superseeded.

The default ports for ovalarmsrv was set to 2345 and 2346

Make sure you have the latest Consolidated patch for NNM aswell.

Hope this answers your question
