hi,
i am trying to unload mibs from NNMi 9.10, unloading operation was successful but in "Loaded MIBs" workspace in Configuration panel its appearing even after unloading the mibs. Even count is also not reducing.

Any reasons for this???

Hi Bharath,

AFAIK The event reduction is not happened by unloading the MIBs, you have to disabled the loaded traps in the Incident Configuration.

If you used nnmloadmibs.ovpl –unload and the mibs are still listed, then it is a defect, call support to get it fixed.

Re: Unloading MIB in NNMi 9.10

    Hi Mohmad,

sorry not event reduction, after unloading of mibs the count of Loaded mibs are not reducing in nnmi console. We have unloaded the mibs using "nnmloadmib -unload 'mib-file'". The operation was successful in the command prompt but the count is not decrementing in Loaded mib console.

    Any suggestions, pls help

    Hi,

did you check the file system? The unloaded files are really deleted?

Maybe the script does not work as it should?

Re: Unloading MIB in NNMi 9.10

    Hi,

The idea with the file system was my wrong thinking.

The MIBs are still in the file system after unloading the MIB by the script. They will not be deleted.

User loaded MIBs will be stored under   /var/opt/OV/shared/nnm/user-snmp-mibs/

System MIBs are stored under    /opt/OV/misc/nnm/snmp-mibs/

If you are looking to the Application under Tools -> Load MIB...

There you have a part "Unloaded MIBs (User Provided)" and "Unloaded MIBs (NNMi Provided)".

Is the MIB there or is it under "Loaded MIBs"?

    Hi,

it seems that the command is not working right.

Did you use the full path for the mib-file you wanted to unload?

All is in the database (nms_mib), if the MIB is still showing call HP to have that fixed.

Re: Unloading MIB in NNMi 9.10

found solution for the problem, was using .mib extension while unloading also. So the mibs were not unloading properly.
