Setting Severity of single trap

NNM 9.11.004

I receive a trap for incident configuration saHpiHotSwapNotification

This trap contains 4 Custom Attributes and they are,

saHpiDomainActiveAlarms, saHpiResourceId, saHpiEventSeverity, saHpiHotSwapEventState, saHpiHotSwapEventPreviousState

Based on saHpiEventSeverity, I need to set the severity for the alarm in NNM.

I understand in Enrichment I can set the severity based on saHpiEventSeverity CA.

But the problem is OID of CA saHpiEventSeverity varies from trap to trap, once it is,

101.8568.2.1.1.3.1.3.1.2.1.3.6.1.4.1.18568.2.1.1.3.1.18.1.2.4294967295.66656.4.5

or

101.8568.2.1.1.3.1.3.1.2.1.3.6.1.4.1.18568.2.1.1.3.1.18.1.2.4294967295.66656.4.4

or

101.8568.2.1.1.3.1.3.1.2.1.3.6.1.4.1.18568.2.1.1.3.1.18.1.2.4294967295.66656.4.3

In this case is it possible to set the severity in Enrichment tab of Trap configuration.

Please help.

Re: Setting Severity of single trap

Hello All

I was able to set the payload filter with,

\Q.101.8568.2.1.1.3.1.3.1.2.1.3.6.1.4.1\E.*

and I was able to set the severity.

But when the same trap is been sent to Operations Manager using OVO agent, the same severity enriched in NNMi is not reflected in OM.

Any ideas of how to overcome this.

Re: Setting Severity of single trap

Severity is set by the deployed template so you're going to have to build in analogus logic into that as well.

Have a nice day :)
