Pairwise configuration with single event

NNM 9.11.005

We are generating single trap event "wirefilterPowerSupplyFailure" for both critical and normal event.

This event contains following CMA

wirefilterEventStatus ( .1.3.6.1.4.1.36985.2.1.1.4 )

which has a value "1"(Critical) or "0" ( Normal )

Is it possible to configure pair-wise configuration with single trap by comparing above CMA value?

Or is there any other way to make sure EventLifeCycle to set as "Closed" when normal event arrives?

Please help.

Re: Pairwise configuration with single event

Hi Ramesh

You will need to implement an intermediate trap. Please have a look at this document describing a solution for this scenario: KM1149281

Re: Pairwise configuration with single event

Hi Dieter

Thanks for your response.

But I see this will create additional alarms in NNMi console along with original trap which I wanted to avoid.

Anyhow thanks for your response.

Thanks

Ramesh

Re: Pairwise configuration with single event

Hi Ramesh

Another option is to upgrade to 9.2x which provides the PairWise functionality to 'pair' the same trap with different varbinds.

Kind regards,

Dieter
