Not able to delete and upload seeds

Hi Experts ,

 

Need your help badly ..

 

I am using NNMi 8.1 Windows . In order to re-discover the devices I have deleted 3 nodes from Inventory > Nodes . Now when i am tring to upload seed using nnmloadseeds.ovpl its showing duplicate IP . even I have tried to delete nodes using nnmnodedelete.ovpl -file seeds.txt -u <Uid> -p <Pwd> , its also not able to delete .

 

Is there any other option from where I have to manually delete nodes ?

Hi Arijit_Che,

Login to NNM with Administrative privillege

then Goto -> Inventory -> select the number of nodes ,

You want to delete .

then select the delete Button available at the top of the Form .

Deleted as you said already but still not able to upload as its showing 'Unable to upload , duplicate entries'

Hi Ajit ,

 

In that Discovery Configuration  - > goto Discovery Seeds tab -> which node you are going to add , search the IP from there ( Previous entry of the IP )  , Remove it ! save and Close .

 

Again , go to Discovery Configuration , then ADD the same Node ,

 

May be it should help you !

Deleting nodes from NNMi does not remove them from discovery area. You would need to clean it manually.

Delete nodes manually from your server using console. Only after that use NNM to delete them inside your programm!

And  wait  for the transactions to clear. With JBOSS running everything in the background , what you're actually doing when you add or remove (devices,seeds) is to submit a request to a queue to have the work done. This queue is serviced sequentially as resources become available.

while deleting use both of these commands:

 

nnmnodedelete -node <IP>

nnmseeddelete -seed <IP>

Hi,

If you wanna delete the nodes from NNM8i means..

you should delete from  the inventory->Nodes-> and from Discovery Seeds as well.

 

If you are not deleting from Discovery seeds, there will be a chance to discover that. And again and it wil come to inventory.
