NNMi 9.01 Question on loading containers

I have about 100 containers in NNM 7.53 and in each containers is another container, etc...

How do I get the containers and the containers below into a CSV file to import into NNMi successfully.

Currently if I create the CSV as a "comma" delimited file, it loaded all of the containers as "single containers", but I want the containers to look like the ones in NNM 7.53 where the containers has a container below it.

Any information greatly appreciated.

Points given.

Thanks.

Re: NNMi 9.01 Question on loading containers

Hello,

on of the columns in the csv is for Child Node Groups. If I remember correct it is important to load the csv in the correct order: first the child node groups and then the node groups with the Child Node Groups in the columns.
Have you created the csv with the command of the migration tools?

Re: NNMi 9.01 Question on loading containers

Hello,

does the migration tool aka the generated csv not contain the hierarchy? Please have a look at the reference for the nnmloadnodegroup.ovpl command to check the cvs format.

Re: NNMi 9.01 Question on loading containers

ITO,

For some reason I cna not get the CSV file created via the nnmetmapmigration.ovpl script.
It runs, but never created the CSV file. I have to manaually create the CSV file from the XML file by removing all entriues except for containers.

This is probably why there are no hierarchies in my CSV.

Any ideas to get this to work correclty or to get the a CSV file to look correctly?

The CSV currenlty only has container names seperated by a comma (line by line).

Suggestions welcomed.

Thanks.

Kind Regards,
