I noticed that when I get the THRESHOLD exceeded events I do not get from which interface the ifutil has been exceeded please let us know which variable attribute we can use. I tried the below configuration in "Event Configuration Message Format" but did not get what excepted.
Event Configuration Message Format–
Configured threshold exceeded for interface $ifName, $ifn $ifIndex, $idx $cia.custompoller.lastValue $cia.custompoller.policy/$cia.custompoller.collect
Event Message -
Configured threshold exceeded for interface null, null null, null 9.458577861333334 InterfaceUtil/InterfaceUtil for variable If%util ((((((ifInOctets + ifOutOctets) * 8) / ifSpeed) * 100) / (sysUpTime * 0.01))) is in the MAJOR state.
Appreciate if you can HELP on this.

Is the event well matching the interface; can you open the impacted interface from the event.
Can you send enent properties page screenshot?

I have tried using the below message format in incident configuration but it does not display from which interface did the threshold exceeded. Please find the attachment.
Configured threshold exceeded for intefrace $ifName, $ifn $ifIndex, $idx $cia.custompoller.lastValue $cia.custompoller.policy/$cia.custompoller.collect

this message does not contain the Inteface information associated " Source Object" shows the custom polling name not the interface impacted that's why it is not getting the variables, can you send the configuration "custom polling" to see how this was configured.

Thanks for the prompt reply, Please find the attachment of Custom Poller Configuration.
Also i visited your site http://www.mahmoudthoughts.com which i felt was very informative
I had one more query in your site there is information that we can Launch Network Overview Map i tried and its working fine, but can i open CUSTOMS Map which i have created. For examples i have created a MAP name as ALL Network Devices. How can i open this map in the single view browser?

to launch the Networking Infrastructure Devices node group
map you can use the command below.
you can replace "Networking+Infrastructure+Devices" by the Group name; I think you have to replace space with + plus sign.
I do not understand what you mean by "open this map in the single view browser?"

What i want is to launch MAP in the browser like http://NNMiServerName:PortNumber/nnm/launch?cmd=sh
To Simplify I have a MAP named as Routers Map which i want to open same as i open NetworkOverview Map. How can i do that?.
I tried the using http://NNMiServerName:PortNumber/nnm/launch?cmd=sh

NNMi includes the following information in the CSV file:
The MIB expression or the numeric Object Identifier of the MIB variable
Time stamp (in milliseconds)
Poll interval (in milliseconds)
MIB Instance (number used to identify the row in the MIB table)
but if there is something like $cia.custompoller.mibinstance it will solve it, but I could not find it.

I am now able to open the CUSTOM MAP.
For the first query i have registered the case with HP Support to see if there are any customized solution to resolved this issue.
Anyways once again thanks for your support.

if HP delievers a solution it would be great if you can post it here. I have not found a good workaround for the missing index. My one and only idea is to look in the database for the custom poller instances for the affected node.

Have you had a response by the HP support ?
If "yes", can you posted the response, please!
Because, I have the same needs and problems that you. ;-)
