IP Map Customization on web

I am running OV 6.0 on HP-UX 11.0 and I am interested in the web-based application.

I would like to allow certain parties to access their own maps. e.g. Users from accounting dept can access their map but not engineering dept. How can I achieve this through the OV Launcher?

Re: IP Map Customization on web

Thanks Berlene

I browse Chapter 9 and I found a file /$OV_WWW/registration/launcher/$LANG/jovw. I have modified the file something like this:

--------------------------------------------
<70> "Taiwan IP Network"
Icon "launcher/network.16.gif"
ActiveHelp { "Access to the Network Presenter which dis
plays the managed objects based on Taiwan's IP Network." }
f.action "NNMTaiwan";

------------------------------------------

The output of web interface looks like this:

------------------------------------------
IT Resources and Applications
Networks
- IP Network
- Taiwan IP Network

------------------------------------------

My question is how to direct the link "Taiwan IP Network" to the submap Thailand?

FYI. I have only one map named default which includes all the IP network. Should I need to create another map Taiwan? Or just use the existing sub-map "Taiwan".

Cheers,
Marshall

Re: IP Map Customization on web

Hy,

you should read the Guide "Creating and Using Registration Files with HP OV NNM" on page 60, there?s detailed information, how to customise your Launcher.
