HP NNM iSPI for Traffic - User Authentication & Top Apps Mini Graph display issue

Hello,

I have got NNM and iSPI for Traffic in our environment.

1) SSO has been enabled. However when I using traffic analysis pane , it is throwing error of "invalid user" for any user other than system , even if the users role is adminsitrators .

2) When logged in as system , under traffic analysis pane > traffic reporting nodes > node ; selection doesnt show top apps in or top apps out or any of them. Eventhough it is showing as updated in node summary. I am able to view reports from NPS server

Regards,

Re: HP NNM iSPI for Traffic - User Authentication & Top Apps Mini Graph display issue

If you are not able to view the pie charts/graphs on the Traffic SPI analysis pane (and assuming that NNMi, iSPI Metrics, and Traffic SPI are all accessible via http, NOT https), perform the following steps:

-Go to the NPS server , copy this file %NPSDataDir%NNMPerformanceSPI\rconfig\ ErsConf.prop (just copy, do not paste/replace)

-Go to NNMi Server, %NNMDataDir%shared/perfSpi/datafiles, place the ErsConf.prop from NPS at this location (if one exists, back it up, and replace with the one from NPS)

Highlight a flow forwarding node/interface, and then check if the TopAppsIn/TopAppsOut graphs work or not.

**Special caveats involved if iSPI Metrics is being accessed by HTTPS, or if the NNMi is in HA.**

How do we know if it worked or not, or if something more needs to be done,

look at the nnm-trace.log (in NNMi Log Folder) for messages like these:

Or search in Traffic Master log folder, for traffic_spi_master*.log, containing messages like these:
