I've upgraded with success from NNMi 9.11 to NNM9.20 two systems with Application Failover. Platform is RH5.5. Then, in the Incident Browser I can see NNMi Health Critical Event with the following explanation :
"The average garbage collection pause of 53,00 seconds for the 'PS MarkSweep' collector is above the recommended maximum of 10 seconds."
The collection pause is variable and can grow over 90,00 seconds!
Could somebody know this error please?
Thanks in advance.

How should be that appropriation done? As per Support Matrix, I should have Java heap size as 8gb, its there. But still I am getting the same issue again and again.

No, we don't have a lot of unused memory.
To add to it, current Java heap memory is more than the usused memory. So I may have to decrease that.
So, how should I decide of the trade-offs?

No easy answers here - basically if you don't allocate more memory, you're probably going to keep getting those errors.
I'm not sure, but you _might_ get some performance improvements if you look at your interface and node groups, and look at what you're monitoring -e.g. can you reduce some of the polling load?
