Re: Create auto discovery rule through command line in NNM 9.10

I believe a simple review of the existing documentation would answer most of the questions I see you posting.

Straight from the NNMi Reference pages

nnmdiscocfg.ovpl -autodisco rule=rulename rangetype=ignore|include [ -f ipAddressRangeFile | -n
ipAddressRanges] [-u <username> -p <password>] [-jndiHost <hostName> Default: localhost] [-jndiPort
<port> Default: 1099]

nnmdiscocfg.ovpl -excludeipaddrs [ -f ipAddressRangeFile | -n ipAddressRanges] [-u <username> -p
<password>] [-jndiHost <hostName> Default: localhost] [-jndiPort <port> Default: 1099]

Have a nice day :)

Re: Create auto discovery rule through command line in NNM 9.10

Thanks for your suggestion.

But I have already tried this option. But It will not create new rule. It can only modify the already existing rule.

But I need to create new rule. Not to modify the existing one.

+++++++Please check this if you have any test beds!!!!+++++++

nnmconfigexport.ovpl -c disco -f <path>\disco.xml

edit the file for new rules that you want to create....... ||||||| SAVE

nnmconfigimport.ovpl -c disco -f <path>\disco.xml

NOTE:: Not sure about this........

Re: Create auto discovery rule through command line in NNM 9.10

Thanks Navarath for the suggestion,

But I've already tried this option. This needs some UUID,  which is uniqe. So it is not possible with this option. As per my knowledge there is no ditect way/commands for this.

Anyone have any idea on this? I also have noticed you cannot create the actual rule...Did you say exporting and modifying the output changes the UUID so you cannot re-import it?
