Add the value of the CPU in the event when exceeded

Hi,

I'm using hp NNMi 9.22, i receive a management event when the CPU of a node exceeds, the alarm message is "CPU on RAM-PER-IPS01-SEC utilization is too high" , is there a way to get the value of the CPU at that time in the alarm message

The event is as below:

CpuOutOfRangeOrMalfunctioning .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.17.19.2.0.9

Thanks

Kareem

Re: Add the value of the CPU in the event when exceeded

Hello Kareem .

I think this is Internal NNM Management Event in NNM , Which is enabled when you have NNM ISPI Performance For Metric ,

I don't have any Clue if you can get any real value of the CPU regarding that ,

But you can verify that from the Traps that are sent from the devices itself if it's configured with some thresold on the device it self , attached Docuement for Cisco Configuring these devices to send Traps regarding the Raising in CPU .

or you can configure Thresold in the Monitoring Setting , but that if you have ISPI Performance ,

All the best .

Re: Add the value of the CPU in the event when exceeded

Thanks Mostafa,

But do you know what's the threshold that NNM uses to fire this event CpuOutOfRangeOrMalfunctioning, and how to modify it?

Thanks

Kareem

Re: Add the value of the CPU in the event when exceeded

Hello Karim ,

you can find that Configuration under >>

Configuration workspace >> Monitoring Settings >> Node Groups Settings .

check the Node Group which the Mentioned node belong to , and check the monitoirng settings for this group , double click in that node group will pop-up window with monitoring settings , on the left side you will find threshold settings , check if there is any applied ?!!

please note that these options are only available as long as you have NNM ISPI performacne Metric Running  .

All the best .
