I was recently upgraded from Win 7 to Win 7 SP1 (32 bit). When I went to reinstall the printer drivers, my m1522nf came up with an installation error saying that "HP EWS" drivers weren't found. I tried deinstalling and reinstalling, but no luck.
I can print, but scanning doesn't work. Any ideas? Is this an HP issue, or Microsoft problem??

Dear all, I installed my M1522nf MFP on windows 7 64bits through net conecction, and everything was working great.
Now I need to install M1522nf in the same laptop (Win7 64 bits), but this time connected via USB. I have downloaded M1522series-win7-full-solution-AM-EMEA1
I had no problem installing USB 1522nf in other laptop I own, but in the one I really need the USB installation, it always fails to install windows update EWS, Scan and fax drivers on this laptop.
May you please help me with any suggestion?. Laptop is updated (no windows updates remaining).
Thank you very much!.

Hi, I got to solve the problem.
Optional Windows Update kb2592687 was pending to install due to resilient problems with some windows services caused by a virus a erased a few months ago. Those afected windows services were working improperly and avoiding kb2592687 to install.
Solution to kb2592687 error installation was here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows
After installing kb2592687, many other optional windows updates installed, included one specific for HP MFC M1522nf printer. After that HP specific service installed, I could installed M1522nf via USB with no addiotional difficulty.
