I keep getting a mesg that HP Solutions Center installation is not complete when I try to launch the application. The dialog box goes on to tell me that I need to plug in a USB cable or CD to point to the install files. It's really annoying as this app is the only method I know to get the scanner to work. Using the manual method of pressing the scanner button on the C4500 just errors out.
I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling this HP software.

I assume that you did install it long ago and it just stopped working recently?

Did a quick google of this problem and found hundreds of users with the same problem since 2009 but noone finding any real solution. A few users are working around the problem by launching the scanner thru d-clicking hipscnapp.exe or attach pc directly to the C4500 (or variant ) to by-pass HP Solutions Center. The first option does not work for me and the second is not an option at all as I need to connect wirelessly.
I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit edition. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix, I'd be grateful.
