Photosmart C4180 - scanning to computer

When I choose the scanning menu I only have two options - edit scan or print scan. How can I get my multi function to scan direct to my computer. My other Photosmart (not sure of the model) I can choose to scan to my computer, Microsoft word.
Can anyone help.
