Officejet 6700 Premium having problems with schedule on/off



I have a new Officejet 6700 and it works perfectly OK except if i use schedule on/off. With this set, the printer turns off & on as expected at the expected times but the print head on the printer stays jammed on the right side. The only way to fix this is by turning the printer off/on. As the printer is working perfectly well in all other aspects, i think it is a firmware issue rather than hardware, but i am having a replacement printer forced on me by support and will need to spend another half-hour setting this one up. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I had exactly the same problem with my OfficeJet 6700 Premium.  The help tech suggested I plug the power supply directly into the wall; no power strip or extension cord.  That didn't help the situation.  HP sent me a replacement printer, which has exactly the same problem.  If they suspect a weak power supply, why didn't the replacement printer come with a new power supply?  I finally disabled the scheduled on/off feature.  Now it sits overnight at the higher standby power level, but at least it wakes up and prints when called upon.
