Laserjet M2727NF "Scan To" causes "waiting for PC"

Does anyone have an idea why the M2727NF would be "waiting for PC" even though all of the software is installed? The scanner, fax, and printer all work, but I receive this message on the printer, and NOTHING on the PC when I hit the Scan To: button on the unit itself. I tried the installation on two different PCs, and the same thing happens. I can scan using the HP Scan software or the Windows Scanner Wizard, but nothing seems to work for the Scan To function.

For me, this issue was caused when the printer, which had originally been added using IP (HP JetDirect - Socket), was deleted and re-added using Bonjour. The scan function does not work with Bonjour.
