Re: HP LaserJet M1120 MFP Windows 7 x64 driver needed

Hi, I have this model also, I could make only the printer work in Win 7 x64, the scanner is not working, no drivers for it. Waiting for HP to make drivers for the scanner...

Sandra,

How did you make this HP printer to have the printing driver work on Windows 7 / 64 bit ? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks... Felix

Re: HP LaserJet M1120 MFP Windows 7 x64 driver needed

Hello to all, I just got it working.

1) download latest driver for Vista x64
2) try to install it, when it fails cancel the installation
3) at your system drive C:\ you should find directory C:\HP_ljM1120_USB_Express_Install
4) go to control panel - system and security - device manager
5) find both HP M1120 and HP Scan (or something like that)
6) manually update driver from that C:\HP_ljM1120_USB_Express_Install

Should work ok, for me it worked better than HP installer on Vista.

Didn't work for me either :-/. It ended with some error code x000002 or so...

Any chance of getting a new W7 driver?

I don't have any other advice for you, it just worked and I was very happy for that. Lets give HP some time, Windows 7 are not officially released yet, so you must be patient. Good luck and ask me if you don't understand any step from my advise, if you understand, keep trying.

If you use the driver disk, and view the files on the disk in windows 7, right click SETUP and goto compatibility tab and select Vista Service Pack 2 and then ok.. then launch setup.. no problems.. installs printer, fax, and scanning driver and I even have my m1522nf hooked up only via IP.

Re: HP LaserJet M1120 MFP Windows 7 x64 driver needed

BUG IN 64-bit INSTALLATION (Windows 7 64-bit).

After a few seconds installation, program stops responding.

After that you can find in C:\Program Files\HP following subfolders:

C:\Program Files\HP\HP LaserJet M1120 MFP Series\HP\HP LaserJet M1120 MFP Series\HP\HP LaserJet M1120 MFP Series ...

and when replication of installation files reaches of the limit for the folder path, windows stops responding.

I was testing this on many computers.

Dear HP Experts, fix your setup, please.
