Sorry my englischs is bad..

I assume what he tries to explain is, that you should try to execute the install programm in the compatibility modus. Edit the probperties of setup.exe, click on the "Compatibility" tab, and activate the modus for windows vista sp2.
And guess what, I just tried it and it works perfect...

I have the 2320fxi. I try to install the latest Driver "HP_CM2320_series_full_solution_v3.0_AM-EMEA" on Windows 7. With one Error on Setup Process it seems to work fine.
In Windows 7 you have to use the "Compatibility Assistent". You can choose Vista SP2 and Run as Administrator. Only one Error appears, but you can ignore this. The Setup is although still running. After that you can install the additions for Documents and Fax. In use the Printer in my network. Restart you Computer after Setup.
Toolbox FX - Runs
Digital Imaging Monitor - Runs
Document Manager - Runs
Solution Center - Runs
Scanning - Runs
Fax - Runs

I have not purchased an HP CM2320 MFP yet as I am waiting to see if HP releases the software with drivers for Windows 7. HP says they will not know until Windows 7 is released in October. Running Windows 7 and Run as Administrator you get all functions with your CM2320? If all functions work with Windows 7, I will purchase the CM2320.

I can't give you the guarantee, that the driver works fine on your computer, but the printer is really a good machine and you can try them. I think you can buy the printer. The Problem is, you can't install the driver without the printer in the network, because the setup is search them. I make some screen shots from the installed services and attach them to this reply. Feel free to cantact me.

I have an HP 2840 MFP which HP no longer supports and never did support with 64-bit drivers. Fortunately I can return it for a full refund. The HP CM 2320nf MFP seems to be a logical replacement, but I am concerned about 64-bit updated drivers. HP says they will not know until October when Windows 7 is released. I really do not know if Windows 7 comes in a 32-version or not, but I will install the 64-bit version regardless.
Thanks for your response.

The installer errored out saying that it couldn't install under the operating system, and that I needed to have admin privileges. I just hit the Retry button, gave Win7 the go ahead, and did the install anyway WITH THE PRINTER OFF! The install then proceeded normally, and when prompted to do so, I powered up the printer. Win& installed the drivers, and the install finished, and everything seems to be working just fine. Even the new Devices and Printers control panel in Win7 is happy. So, YMMV, but this install worked for me (reminder, USB install for Vista 65-bit under Win7.
