We are currently upgrading users to windows 7 64 bit and have run into an issue with our Color Laserjet 9500 MFP. The PCL 6 driver we used for Windows XP had an option to print using the "straightest path". This allowed us to print from tray 1 on heavy card stock. This setting still appears for us with the varous Windows 7 x64 drivers we have tried, but the driver seems to ignore it now. As a consequence we can no longer print card stock on the printer with Windows 7 as it takes the wrong path and gets hung up in the finisher. We have tried a total of 6 drivers including the Universal print driver, and several 9500 specific drivers from Vista and XP.
The only work around we currently have to print from the "Windows XP Mode" virtual machine with the original 32 bit XP driver.
Is there any way to get any of these 64 bit drivers for the 9500 MFP to actually work with the straightest path mode? Or are we doomed to always printing card stock with Windows XP.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
