CM2320 Fax Problem and Scan to Mail problem

[ Edited ]

Hello,

we have 2 machines CM2320NF with the same issues:

- some fax are received correct some are not, Printer hangs at incoming call, but it does not take the call at all until we abort it, there the printer recalibrates. already the newest avaliable firmware onboard

- scan to mail takes up to 2minutes for one document, not to be sent , just t be scanned, display tell send mail to receiver and the ducoment will be scanned upto 2 mins later. smtp connection is ok and correct also network connection and speed is.

both issues on both printers.

any solutions for this?

thx in advance

Re: CM2320 Fax Problem and Scan to Mail problem

For the fax receive issue - one thing to check is that the fax file system is working correctly.  The best way to check is to print the diagnostics page:

-press setup

-Arrow down to reports, press OK

-arrow down to diagnostic report, press OK.  A two page report will print out

Use the page that is all colored squares.  Put this on the flatbed.

- Press 111 Fax Send

-Unit will display 'Send from flatbed?' - select Yes, press enter

-Unit will display 'Load Page 1' - press enter

-Unit will scan the page, then display 'Another Page'.  Select Yes, and press enter.  It will then go back to the load page message.  Continue in this loop until the unit displays fax storage full and goes back to ready.  If the memory is OK this should be around 34 pages.  Repeat the steps above - if the memory is bad it will go to 49 error and then reboot.

Run this test and let me know if the memory is good
