I have a 3390 Multifunction Unit and it has a seperate "PCL6 font list" and "PCL font list". If the 4250n also has these seperate, the fonts on the "PCL6 font list" do not help me. I specifically need to know the fonts on the "PCL font list" as this is what my forms package uses.
I was told by an HP support rep that the lack of fonts on the 3390 was only an issue for the Multifunction units and not the printers, but I need to know before purchasing. By the way, I have used a 4050n, 4500n, 8100n, 5500dn all successfully. The 3390 is the first one to cause me a problem with its lack of fonts.
Could someone please tell me what fonts are on the PCL Font List of the 4250n?

I think the fonts I need are the PCL5. My printers don't state PCL5 they only say PCL or PCL6. do the PCL5 fonts have escape sequences on the list next to each font?

Some laser printers and multifunction units lack the internal scalable pcl 5 compatible univers font that we use in a non-windows environment.
For example, the B&W P2015 laser and the Color 2840 All-in-One lack the required font.
Yet the B&W P3005dn and the Color CM2320 have the required font.
The specifications available online do not include the PCL font list that can be printed from the printer. HP Technical Support could also not answer this question.
Do the B&W 4250tn, Color 3600n, CP2025n, have the internal scalable PCL 5 compatible Univers font?
Where can you get this information for any particular printer or multifunction device prior to purchase?
