Actually, I have a ton of issues with TC in IE. And TC in Firefox doesn't even replay for me. But let's start small, and figure out this error to start.
This happens sporadically in interactive mode, Usually, I just have to close the FF editor and reopen. Sometimes I have to restart Vugen.
If I run the script non-interactively from Vugen, I get a different sporadic error, "IPC connection to browser process is lost".
Maybe these are related errors, maybe not. In any case, I am hurting, and I can't show ROI of a broken product. Even if I have been using LR for 10 years and TC for 2.

It is hard to tell but my hunch is either setup or some enviornmental issue.
Can you try to uninstall/install? Do you have some other HP products on the same machine? If upgraded from previous LR versions what was the install sequence? Did it work with IE9? on other machines? is it specific to some application?

This is a clean box that I received on my first day of work in April. LR12 was the first application that I installed.
I'll try turning it off and on again.

Same issue after a clean uninstall/delete directories/reinstall.
In FF, replay fails 100% of the time with:

Slightly different error now in TC_FF on replay:
Error: TransDataLoggerExt failed to initialize TransactionDataToSQLite class
Error: For more information, see TransactionsData.log
Warning: Extension trans_data_logger_ext.dll reports error -1 on call to function ExtPerThreadInitialize
Error: Vuser failed to initialize extension trans_data_logger_ext.dll.

There should be a file named TransactionsData.log on your script directory, can you please share its content?

I have reverted to 11.52 and am seeing different errors, but similar enough in severity to make TruClient unusable.
The difference is that in 11.52 TC_FF I can at least get Firebug to work, and I can replay a single step. Other than that, it records and that is it.
I have done as much root cause analysis in the areas of virus protection, DEP, firewalls, and other interfering programs as I can. I'm hoping that someone has seen a issue similar to this and has a suggestion.

The answer is:
Sophos Endpoint and Security Control was interfering with the operation of HP LoadRunner TruClient.
For those who have this virus protection, I will post my findings when I have a solution.

Have you seen similar problems with McAfee? I'm experiencing a similar error but have McAfee installed instead. In my environment, my TruClient script runs under load for a while and then gets the "TCS has stopped working" error and one vUser dies. The rest continue.
Any help you might suggest would be greatly appreciated.

Either disable the AV and try or add LR executables to the white lists.
mdrv.exe, TcWebIeLauncher.exe processes
