Vugen v11.5 and IE8 crashing

We're trying to record Web Protocol for a web based application using VUGEN v11.5 (Build 2216) and IE8 on a virtual machine (VM) with XP operating system over a Citrix connection.

The XP VM has no Internet connection, we can see events being generated and recorded as we navigate through the application, however after a few pages the IE8 session comes to a grinding halt and freezes.

When checking the VM Event Log, we see the following behaviour occurring;

30/11/2012        12:18:03             crypt32 Warning             None     6           N/A       PV1XXXXX          Reached crypt32 threshold of 50 events and will suspend logging for 60 minutes

30/11/2012        12:18:03             crypt32 Error     None     8           N/A       PV1XXXXX          Failed auto update retrieval of third-party root list sequence number from: <http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/authrootseq.txt> with error: The specified server cannot perform the requested operation.

We’ve had the following Microsoft hotfix installed; http://support.microsoft.com/kb/959658

However the issue continues to prevail and we always have to terminate the recording and the IE8 session.

We’re now stuck and I’m hoping someone can help who knows how to circumnavigate this issue.

Re: Vugen v11.5 and IE8 crashing

Hi.

-Does this issue always occur on the same spot of the application you are recording?

-Check a winsock recording see if the same occurs.

-Do you have an antivirus or firewall running? Can they be disabled?
