Unable to record with web protocol Option using LR 11.0 with IE 8.0

Dear all,

I am using LR 11.0

I can access the Webpage manually.

But while recording using LR 11.0, I am getting "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" in IE 8.0.

Kindly advise.

Thanks and Regards,

Vivek.

Hi ,

Try restating your machine , it may solve this problem.

Try with different recording options one at a time ( both HTML and URL ).

Try running Vugen as administrator.

If all these doesnt work try reinstalling Vugen and reboot machine.

Try deleting temp files from start -> run -> %temp%

Also disable antivirus and check whether it is causing any problem.

Check in eventvwr for any error messages.

Srihari

I agree with Srihari....

Did you play around with the Network:  Port mapping under recording options?

Second option ..this may not be the best solution but it may help...

In IE goto tools > compatibility view settings> Then disable - Display  intranet sites with compatibility view.

Close and try to record. This helped me record applications that were not recording any events after I got in .

I have attached the 3 images to help.

Good luck

Hello

Yes this look like missing port mapping configuration, as k your developers what are the settings your application uses for this, as workaround you can choose the capture level as winInet or use the old recording engine, but the best way to resolve this is to create the required port mapping entry.
