Unable to record through Chrome Browser on LR 11.5

No Events recorded  in the script using Web HTTP Protocol. Tried Ajax as well and same behaviour.  Are we supposed to make any configuration changes in order for chrome to be used for recording?  My application is compatible only with chrome at this time

What kind of behavior do you see?

No launch of the browser at all?

Does it work when doing Web recording with IE?


Note that Chrome version supported in 11.5 is 11.x

 

You can try the following if your issue is that no events are recorded.

 

1) locate vugen.ini file under LR\config folder
2) add at the end of the the following:
[NoTrap]
Application1=chrome.exe
3) copy the vugen.ini file to Windows folder (c:\windows)

Thanks Mario.

Here is the configuration:
Application trying to record: web app
Chrome version : 22.x
OS- Win 7 64 bit

It records events in IE9 but not on Chrome. Also what i noticed was i tried to use TrueClient for Firefox and recorded the app. It works for recording. But when i replay it crashes the firefox . is 64bit OS allowed for Trueclient Firefox protocol. if Yes, then whats the version it supports?

TruClient uses its own FireFox browser, so the one that comes with Vugen that is the one that is supported, it's 32 bit. 64 bit OS is supported like Windows 7 and Windows 2008. The Chrome version that you have though would not not be supported.

I am sorry I forgot to mention. You can install the supported version of Chrome, as mentioned it has to be 11, and 32 bit.

I downloaded chrome 11.X version and tried to record the script. it doesnt still record any events.  the recorder opens the chrome browser Though  and it just hangs there.       i tired using internet application and as well as Win32 bit Application as recording option.  still no success.

When i tired through Truclient for Firefox, it is able to record the script.  but when i try to replay the script ,   it gives me the following error:

Do you have any more details as to what exactly this fixes the problem? Can you clarify what the [NoTrap] section is defining? Why it's missing to begin with?
