Move the load runner from one to other pc

[ Edited ]

Dear Support,

Greetings,

We are using licensed version of Load runner 8.0 in a PC. Now we like to move this load runner to new PC with higher configuration and using the existing license.

Kindly help us with steps to install the load runner on the new pc.

Also provide information abt temp Vgen licensing?

Thanks
Yew Kwong

Re: Move the load runner from one to other pc

Hi Yew Kwong,

To move the License from one PC to other you need to contact HP support.
The license is issued based on host id which is generated for every machine.

To know the host id go to start->loadRunner->Loadrunner->configuration->LoadrunnerLicense

Share both the old and new host id with HP support and they shall help you with a license key.

Hope this helps

Re: Move the load runner from one to other pc

We've a similar situation where we need to move the Loadrunner to a different machine as original machine was crashed. Unfortunately, we didn't renewed support.

How can we migrate the license we purchased to a new server? What are our options?

Contact HP. While the support renewal out of date means you dont get a latest version, the license you have bought is nevertheless entitled permanent and hence, you should be able to get support from HP to move it from one server to another. Possibly the HP Support team members can help you here.
