LoadRunner Installation via RDP

We will need to install LoadRunner on a remote Windows 2003 server. Can it be installed via the mstsc/console command? Are there other options in installing LoadRunner remotely?

Re: LoadRunner Installation via RDP

Yes, you can install. Make sure to login to console session as you mentioned.

Re: LoadRunner Installation via RDP

Madan,

Thanks for your response. Is there any LoadRunner documentation ( or any documentation) supporting how this be achieved?

Re: LoadRunner Installation via RDP

Hello,

There is no special documentation supporting this, but I can also confirm it works well.

Re: LoadRunner Installation via RDP

If this is the case why does the installation guide for LR 11.50 and 11.52 say:

"LoadRunner does not support installation via terminal service.

Installation must be performed at the destination machine."

Re: LoadRunner Installation via RDP

In the 11.52 Installation guide it is on page 13 of 59

In the 11.50 Installation guide it is on page 18

It's in the "Pre-installation Configuration" section.

Re: LoadRunner Installation via RDP

As mentioned earlier it works well, it requires a change in documenation.
