JAVA RMI : Oracle Retek RPM application

Hi All,

Any thoughts/ experience on how to approach RPM loadtesting?

The application uses RMI, i have tried recording, but the code has trouble even compiling due to use of proxy classes, whose variable defenition causes issues.

Has anyone worked with this beast yet? If so, please shed some light on how it can be tested.

AJ

Hi

It looks some issues with specific proxy usage.

I suggest as HP support to take a look on this.

Thanks, Dmitry

Re: JAVA RMI : Oracle Retek RPM application

So i have progressed a bit on this application.

1. Recording was only used as a means of understanding the function calls.

2. Actual script had to be handwritten, and I have access to the application code base which helped in the process.

3. Dynamic proxies are now not used.

4. There is no serialized payloads i am using in my script. Instead i am invoking the methods which create the payload in the first case.
